The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of credit underwriting and can demonstrate an ability to balance detail with broader issues, in both written and oral communication. The primary responsibilities include coordinating industry research and company diligence, preparing transaction memos and underwriting reports, developing and evaluating financial models, supporting legal documentation negotiation, managing deal closings, and managing a portfolio of accounts. Candidates are able to draw thoughtful and relevant conclusions based on their analysis of new transactions and portfolio accounts and can effectively communicate their findings both internally and externally. Candidates should have an understanding and working knowledge of the senior, subordinated and inter-creditor loan documents, and an understanding of equity and fund investment documentation.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and evaluate complex financial modeling
  • Identify and analyze underwriting risks
  • Coordinate, review, and assess transaction due diligence
  • Ownership/Management of transaction processes including investment committee presentation materials
  • Support the preparation, review, and negotiation of legal documentation and closing of transactions
  • Proactive problem solving, client interaction, and active daily management of a portfolio of accounts
  • Effective working relationships with team members and delegation and monitoring of work flow
  • Assist with the syndication of credit facilities, including: preparation of written documents (underwriting memos, term sheets, offering memoranda, lender presentations), communication with transaction participants (senior and subordinated lenders, the private equity sponsor, and the target company), and legal documentation and closing process

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • BA/BS/BBA degree required
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Prior cash flow and sponsor lending experience is required
  • Software and Technology Services underwriting experience preferred
  • Robust analytical, problem-solving, organizational and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time and workload efficiently
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Pay Transparency

Salary range: $165,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
