New York Life’s primary distribution channel is the career Agency sales force of more than 12,000 agents, operating in virtually every major city in the United States.  Every agent is affiliated with one of our 117 General Offices. These offices are operated by Agency management teams responsible for agent and management recruiting, development, and sales.  Approximately half our agents operate their businesses out of our General Offices, while the other half maintains independent office locations. 


Our General Offices are divided up among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing and communications supports our agents and field managers.  The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market, the advanced (high-net-worth) market, select cultural markets, and the women’s markets. Agents sell individual life insurance, individual annuities, and long-term care insurance products, as well as mutual funds.


Role Overview


This position will involve various duties within the technology group at The Nautilus Group. Predominately this position will act as a Systems Analyst to help support The Nautilus Group with business requirements for development in Responsibilities include:


  • Specifications development (system requirements)
  • System Testing (U.A.T.)
  • System Documentation
  • Liaise with users to track additional requirements and features
  • Collaborate with IT team and developers to produce new systems
  • User Documentation
  • Train users on the new systems and help provide support
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and technical developments




  • Bachelor Degree (Management Information Systems or Computer Science preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
  • Background in Salesforce and solid knowledge of business information systems
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven work experience as a Systems Analyst
  • Hands on experience with software development and documentation
  • Ability to explain technical details
  • Experience with flowcharting, policies and procedures documentation, workflows, browser based applications(cross platform)
  • Ability to manipulate browser settings and URL's in order to facilitate testing in different environments(DEV, MDL and PROD)
  • Strong Communicator (Verbal and Written)
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel with Macro, Visio, MS Project Manager, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox), Remote Access via VPN and VDA, Mobil Devices (iOS & Android)
