Corporate Vice President, Nautilus Group Case Consultant
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
Role Overview:
The Nautilus Group supports more than 200 of New York Life’s top producers. This role serves as a senior technical leader and strategic partner to member agents, delivering advanced estate and business planning guidance for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
The ideal candidate brings 8–10 years of advanced market experience and operates as a self-directed leader requiring minimal oversight. Success in this role is defined by the ability to build trusted relationships with agents, deliver exceptional client-facing support, leverage AI and technology to enhance planning outcomes, and consistently provide high-impact case design.
What You’ll Do:
Member Agent Support
- Serve as a strategic partner and primary advanced planning resource for member agents.
- Develop and deepen relationships with member agents, with responsiveness and service excellence as a core performance measure.
- Collaborate with member agents to design estate, business, charitable, retirement, and tax planning strategies for business owner and high-net-worth clients.
- Integrate New York Life products into comprehensive planning solutions where appropriate.
- Support member agents in targeting and penetrating key markets, including high-net-worth, business owner, and cultural markets.
- Participate in client meetings (virtually) as needed.
Estate and Business Planning Case Design
- Create customized case designs that directly address client objectives and drive implementation.
- Utilize AI tools, data analysis, and emerging technologies to enhance case modeling, improve efficiency, and deliver differentiated, best-in-class technical support.
- Develop financial models using advanced Excel capabilities and AI-enhanced workflows.
- Serve as a technical leader within the Case Development Team, setting quality standards and mentoring peers to ensure consistent excellence.
Meeting Presentations
- Present advanced planning concepts at company meetings, industry events, and member agent seminars.
- Develop and deliver webinars and training sessions on technical topics, product updates, tax law changes, and strategic initiatives.
- Communicate complex strategies clearly and persuasively to both advisors and clients to drive action.
Leadership & Strategic Initiatives
- Take ownership of new initiatives arising from legislative changes, product enhancements, and evolving planning opportunities.
- Lead development of high-quality educational content (white papers, newsletters, website content, industry articles, etc.).
- Conduct monthly technical training for Nautilus staff.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, elevate service standards, and expand the team’s AI-enabled capabilities.
What You’ll Bring:

- 8–10 years of advanced market experience with deep expertise in:
- Estate and gift tax planning
- Business succession and entity planning
- Charitable planning
- Nonqualified compensation planning
- Income tax planning
- Asset protection planning
- Juris Doctor required; CPA or LL.M. preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of:
- Life insurance products, taxation, and advanced funding techniques (e.g., split dollar, premium financing)
- Annuity products and taxation
- Integration of insurance solutions into sophisticated estate and business plans
- Demonstrated ability to present complex planning strategies to advisors and clients and drive implementation.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling (Excel required) and a demonstrated ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and service delivery.
- Proven ability to operate independently with little to no technical guidance, prioritize competing demands, and deliver at a high level of productivity.
- Strong leadership presence within a technical team environment, with a track record of mentoring peers and elevating overall performance.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $145,000 - $195,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
