Regional Advisor Consultant-ETF Focused (Texas Based)

 

NYL Investments / IndexIQ is seeking a highly motivated and client-oriented Regional Advisor Consultant. This individual will take on direct responsibility for building relationships with RIAs as part of a new ETF dedicated coverage effort in Texas.  The individual will report to the Head of Internal Sales.  The goal of the effort in Texas is to drive ETF sales with a segment of Registered Investment Advisors, Foundations and Endowments and Bank Trust Advisors that have previously been uncovered.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prospect and grow sales on a pre-identified list of RIAs in the territory.
  • Create a strong and client-oriented sales process using a variety of tools.
  • Expand the NYL Investments / IndexIQ client base and increase ETF sales and AUM growth in the area.
  • Engage with advisors on all areas of ETF topics, including portfolio construction insights, tactical use cases, market insights and specific IndexIQ strategies.
  • Opportunities to travel for events and client meetings in the region when business travel resumes.
  • Provide consistent communication with the IndexIQ team to draw insights as well as provide feedback on client activities.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of capital markets and industry topics.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years industry sales experience
  • 2+ years ETF sales experience with demonstrated sales success
  • Strong RIA knowledge required specifically in the Texas markets.
  • Excellent territory management, presentation and client facing skills.
  • Strong track record of proven sales experience
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required
