Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead Single Sign-On (SSO) and File Feed implementations for Medical Underwriting Platform (MUP) clients. This includes completing policy plan design reviews, providing technical data requirements to Benefit Admin Vendors, Brokers, and Clients, and reviewing test records.
  • Review and understand complex policy plan designs in support of the implementations. This is to identify which systems require setup, what partners must be engaged, and any requests that are not supported by current business practices.
  • Participate and lead projects in support of the Medical Underwriting Platform. This includes working with Development team to create requirements, find solution or enhancement, and execute testing.
  • Research and review File Feed errors by working with Production Support, internal partners, and Benefit Admin Vendors.
  • Assist Benefit Admin Vendors with resolving Single Sign-On webservice XML requests errors.
  • Confidently perform live demonstrations of the online medical history questionnaire for internal and external partners.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert on Departments processes and offerings, while creating and maintaining all documentation and manuals.
  • Consistently educate Account Management on our SSO and File Feed offerings.
  • Maintain and make upgrades to Department’s Microsoft Access tools and databases.




  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 2 years college or 5 years work equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with data generating tools (SQL, TOAD, etc.) preferred.
  • Ability to create tools and databases in Microsoft Access preferred.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Advanced communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully in a service-oriented team environment.
  • Ability to manage and maintain quality performance and metrics within department standards.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology a plus.
  • Prior experience in life, accident, and disability group insurance a plus.
  • Knowledge in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology. and medical conditions a plus.
