The Security Manager will oversee all Security/Fire Life Safety Operations in our Bethlehem, PA office location.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee all New York Life (NYL) building fire and life safety personnel and systems.
- Act as Incident Manager during emergency situations, including but not limited to:
- Fires
- Medical emergencies
- Floods
- Explosions
- Power outages
- Bomb threats
- Suspicious packages
- Other emergency events
- Evaluate security needs and recommend upgrades in technology, systems, and training.
- Serve as the primary liaison with state, county, and local emergency response agencies.
- Manage NYL security systems, including:
- Card access systems
- CCTV
- Alarm systems
- Prepare and maintain all required reports, including monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc security assessment reports.
- Report to the Director of Corporate Security or another member of the Corporate Security management team.
- Travel occasionally for domestic and international assignments to NYL offices and events.
- Maintain and update all relevant security policies and procedures.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum of 10 years of recent law enforcement experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
- Valid driver's license.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a valid Retired Police Officer (RPO) concealed pistol permit.
- Familiarity with Software House C•CURE access control system - or similar systems - is also valuable.
- Prior corporate security experience in a large organization is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to think independently, make critical decisions, and operate with minimal supervision.
- Strong report-writing skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
- Effective collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally with internal departments, contractors, and external agencies.
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $85,000-$147,500
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
