This position involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.




  • Point of contact for the client omission process. Coordinates tasks of the omissions team.
  • Engage clients and internal partners in a timely and effective manner to collect missing information for processing
  • Accurate tracking of omissions and prompt reporting of issues to the team and management
  • Research issues in multiple systems to provide accurate responses.
  • Effective communication via email to clients and internal partners.
  • Attend calls with internal partners and occasionally with the client as a SME to explain the process or help to resolve issues.
  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Process Life and Disability applications for Medical Underwriting in MUP, VPS & UTS depending on client set up
  • Screen applications for completeness and send appropriate correspondence
  • Key applicant information with accuracy and efficiency 
  • Review medical history and approve coverage based on authority limits
  • Research application status and respond appropriately to internal partners
  • Process specific clients for special, priority handling
  • Customer Omission phone line to receive responses to missing medical questions
  • Projects as assigned, including research, reports, client transitions, reworks, audits and escalations
  • Adaptability to frequent procedural changes with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Actively participate in projects that support the growth of the medical underwriting team
  • Actively recognize abnormalities in systems and processes and raises them to management team for resolution
  • Work in a team environment and self-manages own queue within time constraints while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
  • Provides cross team support for the Client Omissions, Key-in Case, Create-a Case processing work functions


Minimum Qualifications:


  • College degree preferred
  • High school diploma, or GED from an accredited school required
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Prior experience in group insurance including life, accident, or disability a plus.
  • Knowledge in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and medical conditions, a plus
  • Ability to manage and maintain quality performance within department standards.
  • Strong attention to detail
