This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 


The Medical Underwriting Business Team in Group Benefit Solutions is looking for a positive, ambitious, critical thinker to assist with research and analysis of reports and escalated issues, actively engage with our internal and external business partners using effective communication, and support and implement project management ideas and concepts.




  • Review, compile, and report on all errors arising from the loading of automated file feeds
  • Convert census files, report all errors, and submit for processing
  • Research, analyze, and respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding the online medical underwriting system as it pertains to the file feed process
  • Provide expert guidance throughout the file feed implementation process by participating on client-facing onboarding calls, reviewing test files, and assisting partner resources
  • Review and research escalated inquiries within the designated timeframes
  • Generate correspondence for escalated issues
  • Assist with quality assurance and release testing
  • Provide written communications as it relates to business meetings and process improvements
  • Manage and update all documentation of team’s policies and procedures
  • Actively recognize abnormalities in systems and processes and raises them to management team for resolution
  • Identify areas of improvement for the online medical underwriting system and related processes
  • Continual commitment to personal and professional development including classroom, self-study, on the job training, and team building events
  • Work in a team environment and self-manage own queue within time constraints while maintaining accuracy and exceptional quality standards
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary based on business need




  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent business experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to rapidly shifting priorities
  • Strong computer skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude
  • Customer service experience a plus

Salary range: $50,000-$75,000 

Overtime eligible: Nonexempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
