The Representative will work together with the team to achieve the goal of having payment processing times under 5 days.  They will process complex payments, research and respond to miscellaneous payment correspondence requests, and process premium reversals. The position is responsible for processing premium payments, loan repayments, payments to purchase additional insurance, and premium payments using dividend value.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Processes payment requests, with some assistance from senior team members

  • Works within established departmental procedures to resolve common payment related issues

  • Answers internal partners, Agent and Policyholder calls related to payment requests 

  • Makes decisions to solve payment related issues for policyholders, agents and the Company

  • Corresponds with agents and customers to determine the appropriate action on their policies; some inbound phone calls will also be handled, mostly coming from internal partners in the Call Center.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Payment Processing, Reconciliation or related role, preferably within the Financial Services or Insurance industries
  • Experience in using technical systems is preferred, including: AWF, Rumba, SSF, Mainframe, CABS.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required
