Program Overview
New York Life is seeking a highly organized and innovative thinker to join our Group Benefit Solutions Project Management Summer Internship program!
Beginning the week of June 5, 2023 and concluding the week of August 7, 2023, our 10-week program offers an exciting opportunity for rising juniors and seniors looking to gain exposure to a corporate environment. As summer intern, you’ll attend in learning and development activities, gain insight into to our businesses and how our company functions, and participate in additional social and networking opportunities.
This internship opportunity will be hybrid, located at our Chattanooga, TN office.
The Role
- Assist senior level project managers in overseeing project schedules for activities within our change management portfolio.
- Assist in the preparation of project status reports.
- Partner with PMO leads to build a robust tools & templates repository that can be leveraged by team members to support our service model.
- Audit/evaluate PM documentation/artifacts to ensure adherence to service model.
Skills and qualifications
- Must be a rising junior or senior at an accredited 4-year university or college with anticipated graduationdate between spring 2024 and spring 2025
- Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Have held leadership roles or significantly contributed to campus or community extracurricular activities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Previous internship experience a plus but not required
- Experience with Microsoft programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Access strongly preferred
