This role is located in our Jersey City, NJ location and is a Hybrid schedule  with work from home Mondays & Fridays

 

The New York Life Institutional Annuities Business Analysis team is offering and exciting opportunity in which the ideal candidate will work closely with our business partners and external vendor(s) over a multi-year period to ensure the configuration of the new policy administration system and supporting applications meet all business functional needs.      

 

The ideal candidate will have experience with policy administration system transformations, configurations and conversions preferable withing the financial services sector.  The candidate will be responsible for proactively engaging with business partners, vendors and internal technology and governance partners to ensure end-to-end business functions are built and perform as expected in an agile framework.  He or she possesses technical skills and is adept at utilizing analytical skills to evaluate data movement and final results and articulate findings in a concise manner to business and technology partners of varying levels.  He or she will work closely with project managers and delivery leads to ensure program deliverables are met with accuracy within designated timeframes and oversee training materials created for business partners.

 

Previous Experience

  • Bachelor degree with relevant experience required
  • 2+ years of business analysis/systems analysis experience
  • Previous experience working in the insurance industry and Annuities space
  • Experience in working in a team-based agile or waterfall development environment
  • Experience with database applications and knowledge of SQL

  • Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills. Accuracy and attention to details are required
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
  • Interprets business challenges, identifies trends and recommends best practices
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; collaborates with others to build consensus
  • Makes decisions that have cross-functional impact
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Hands on experience on working on latest Policy Admin System(PAS) configuration is preferred but not required

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience required
  • Master's degree preferred but not required
  • Certifications in Business Analysis, Agile - preferred but not required

Salary range: $77,500-$117,500 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
