Location: Jersey City, New Jersey

Offered Wage: $190,000/year


Duties: Responsible for the accurate accounting of the company’s expense base, including the proper usage of the legal entity, general ledger chart of accounts, and cost centers in accordance with GAAP and STAT accounting. Partners with senior Finance leaders to manage monthly and quarterly close cycles, including processing journals across all ledgers, fixed assets, amortization, and compensation accounting.  Manages relationship and deliverables, including service level agreement (SLA) validation of co-sourced Finance resources. Prepares quarterly and annual supplemental schedules and financial statements, ad hoc financial analytics, and management reports.  Leads process improvement projects that facilitate and increase the capacity for value-added financial analysis and business partnerships.  Manages a team of 13 resources that provide cross-functional support for the Budget and Expense Management function, including Finance Business Partners, Project Accounting, Consolidated Reporting & Analytics, Expense Allocations, and Data Management.


Education & Experience Requirements:

Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning

Or in the alternative:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning


Required Skills:

Experience must include 1 year in each of the following skills:

(1) Implementing reporting, forecasting, month-end, and post-monthly accruals procedures to correct and improve processes;


(2) Managing accounting and financial controls through process improvement and implementation efforts;


(3) Leveraging a large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or general ledger platform or expense sub-ledger system to manage financial accounting records, posting journal entries, and performing account reconciliations;


(4) Documenting and implementing financial data governance framework; and,


(5) Managing month-end close cycle and calendar.
