  • Produce financial reporting for NYLIM, and its business units; Provide high quality insightful analysis of results for Business, Finance and Senior Management
  • Support in the development of multi-year financial plans and quarterly outlooks for the business areas and NYL Corporate requirements. 
  • Engage with Business Unit resources to compile and develop monthly Sales & AUM Data and Reports. 
  • Produce and maintain profitability reporting and analysis for Business Units Areas.  This would include oversight and periodic maintenance of business unit work efforts statistics.
  • Drive Expenses & Headcount Reporting & Analysis for NYLIM Direct Expenses & Allocated expenses and released data to key stakeholders in a timely manner. 
  • Support NYLIM with Dividend Assessments and Outlooks
  • Be responsive to Business Unit and Corporate ad hoc needs and objectives; This involves, but not limited to, Deep Dive Financial Analysis, Industry Surveys, RFPs, Marketing Request, Board Reporting

Examples include:

  • Working closely with the business and Anaplan Center of Excellence to design, build, and implement Anaplan models
  • Building financial metric data models as the basis for Tableau dashboards to share data and insights with senior management
  • Automating processes to enhance analytics and demonstrating to stakeholders how analytics can maximize business benefits
  • Driving the use of data-based decision-making and analytics by finance leadership, discovering business opportunity and creating value by executing on high-priority projects
  • Demonstrates strong sense of teamwork and collaboration

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business required
  • Minimum of 6+ years of related experience required
  • Strong technical skills including advanced Excel and Tableau skills
  • SQL/Database management knowledge
  • NYL Enterprise Data Hub knowledge a plus
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be team oriented and able to interact with a diverse group
  • A proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision

 

 

Salary range: $115,000-$175,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
