The role of the Enterprise Data Management Data Engineering Analyst is to work closely with on shore and off shore Ingestion team members, EDM Technical Leads as well as the EDM Architecture team to drive solutions that support the migration of the EDM Data Hub to the cloud. 

 

In this role the individual will work deliver solutions pertaining to the ingestion, tokenization, and standardization of data as it flow into our EDM Data Lake.  This role is expected to work as a liaison between the EDM ingestion team and the EDM platform engineering teams to ensure alignment between platform capabilities and the ingestion pattern requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design and implementation of data ingestion solutions consistent with the strategic patterns defined across EDM.  These patterns will involve a host of technologies including AWS skills (DMS, Glue, Step Functions, etc.) as well as python coding.
  • The analysts will provide support for the existing on prem data hub ingestion solutions during our transition period to the cloud.
  • The analyst will be the primary support engineer for the Sync Sort CDC tool and serve as the product owner of this platform.
  • The analyst will work across scrum teams to ensure the data engineering efforts required for the scrum team they are assigned to are completed as per the requirements.

 

Experience:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in enterprise information management
  • Demonstrated technical delivery skills focused in the data engineering, ingestion and or integration space.
  • Demonstrated experience organizing and influencing across lines of business, geographies and functional areas
  • Demonstrated leadership developing enterprise information management standards
  • Experience in implementing enterprise data management services is highly desirable

 

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experiences and expertise in information management strategy, methodologies, tools and techniques with special emphasis on enterprise information management in complex, regulated environments
  • Experience delivering AWS cloud centric data management solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate, build relationships, mentor and influence a community of technology and data professionals across lines of business, geographies and functional areas
  • Strong written, verbal and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to work with all levels within the organization
  • Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills; accuracy and attention to details
  • Strong ability to develop architectural diagrams, and to tell a story through effective use of visuals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, connect moving parts, and anticipate and manage change impacts
  • Ability to define and leverage metrics to drive performance and outcomes
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with visualization tools like Tableau is desirable.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of current and future information management technologies and applications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
