Intercompany Accountant

The candidate will report directly to a manager in the Corporate Finance Accounting Operations and will be responsible for overseeing the Intercompany Accounting Center of Excellence. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing a staff of co-sourced individuals in Noida (India).



Candidate will be the point person for overseeing intercompany accounting and the monthly intercompany close processes ; in this capacity, the candidate will work closely with all NYL legal entities to develop and implement action plans to effectively record, monitor, and correct intercompany transactions.


  • Perform/oversee the reconciliation of intercompany accounts in Cadency and for ensuring GAAP-compliant stand-alone (where applicable) financial statements as it relates to intercompany activity.
  • Assist subsidiaries/boutiques with establishing procedures for newly created intercompany relationships (establishing contacts, developing work flows, facilitate exchange of information etc.).
  • Report intercompany results and metrics monthly, and assist with resolving all intercompany consolidation issues.
  • Identify root causes of intercompany breaks as they emerge and propose and implement preventive measures.
  • Prepare related party footnote for STAT audited financial statements.
  • Process settlement wire transfers for NYL and certain subsidiaries.
  • Assist with the preparation of various surveys and data collection exercises


  • Qualifications
  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP Accounting Principles
  • Strong understanding of financial controls
  • Willingness to seek innovative efficiencies
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Strong written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of SAP a plus
