Position Description:


The primary responsibilities of this position are as follows:

  1. Preparation of the financial accounting, operation and reporting for NYL Trust Company.  These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  1. The preparation of financial statements and accompanying footnote disclosure for the annual audit of NYL Trust Company.
  2. Quarterly analysis of financial statements for the Subsidiary Controller’s Book process.
  3. Preparation of materials for the annual meeting of the board of directors for NYL Trust Company.
  4. Preparation of the bi-annual Call Report for NYL Trust Company.


  1. Preparation of the NYL Enterprises and Nylife LLC consolidations.  These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  2. Prepare quarterly GAAP Equity Pick Up journal entries for NYLE and Nylife LLC parent companies.
  3. Prepare quarterly consolidation adjustment entries for NYLE and Nylife LLC.
  4. Prepare quarterly consolidation check for NYLE and Nylife LLC.
  5. Preparation of the Asset Management Controller’s Book and the Strategic Business Subsidiaries Controller’s Book, including, but not limited to:
    1. Serve as primary liaison with Asset Management boutiques controllership teams to coordinate variance analysis documentation.
    2. Coordinate with co-sourcing partners to capture current ledger data.
    3. Ensure reliable data by clearing all control checks.
    4. Ensure formatting is up to standard for optimum reader experience/quality control review.
  1. Provide support for the NYLIM consolidation process.
  1. Support preparation of the NYLIM consolidated footnote disclosures.
  1. Prepare various survey responses (regulatory and otherwise).



  • Bachelors degree in accounting (or equivalent) preferred 
  • 3-5 years financial accounting and reporting experience
  • CPA/MBA a plus
