Position:  Senior Associate (DevOps Engineer) (Jersey City, New Jersey)
Duties: Design and optimize deployment processes and technical solutions that are aligned with New York Life’s continuous integration process. Configure various jobs on NYL CI/CD tools for deployments. Maintain CI/CD pipeline. Create and manage multiple development environments and establish a seamless deployment process between lower and Production environments. Maintain Git branching and tagging for various development streams and involved in resolving merge conflicts. Provision salesforce user access in lower environments. Facilitate delivery of custom code development through SFDX (including lightning applications), and data migration elements in collaboration with other teams. Deploy and support mobile applications. Resolve blocking issues between development teams and CI processes.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 2 years of experience executing DevOps strategies in various environments. Must also possess 1 year of experience in the following: (1) Working as a DevOps Engineer focusing on CI/CD and CM tools and modern frameworks in the eco-system; (2) Transferring components between various test and developer environments, which are outside the scope of change sets; (3) Utilizing CI/CD tools such as Gitlab, GitHub, and Jenkins; (4) Configuring, monitoring. and distributing multi-platform servers using Ansible; (5) Utilizing Salesforce data loader and workbench for data migration activities in Salesforce; (6) Designing and developing systems as part of a complete software product lifecycle; (7) Utilizing Agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum; (8) Implementing Salesforce lightning products; (9) Building strategic deployment solutions; (10) Performing hands-on configuration and integration development; (11) Working in Agile Scrum environments for project development and inculcated professional team building skills. Skills may be gained during a graduate program.
