Duties: Identifies, designs, documents, and deploys future state automated processes leveraging New York Life's Blue Prism platform. Analyzes and gathers requirements to design and document future-state automated processes and identifies automation blockers and automation enablers in these processes. Designs future state automated processes from a process flow perspective and depicts the designs using complex MS Visio diagrams. Documents the future state of processes in a Process Definition Document (PDD) and delivers assigned automations. Calculates the automation percentage and full-time employee benefit and builds implementation effort estimates to determine a business plan. Performs requirements gathering and analysis by conducting workshops with business process owners to understand and analyze the process through the lens of applying robotics process automation. Implements code by working closely with the Development team to ensure requirements are accurately understood. Writes test scenarios and performs System Integration Testing as well as User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for automated processes before they go Live. Coordinates the deployment of processes between the Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Office, Developers, the IT team, Change Management team, and business owners. Assists with making enhancements or changes required to automate processes. Identifies and manages process dependencies by analyzing process demonstrations and process documentation. Manages dependencies by incorporating them into future state designs. Manages changes in project scope, identifies issues, and develops contingency plans by analyzing the changes requested against project objectives and timelines. Establishes and manages stakeholder relationships and communicates status of multiple deployments to process teams and stakeholders, including senior Finance leadership. Processes discovery, identifies automation opportunities, builds, and tracks the pipeline for the RPA team by reaching out to department heads to provide a list of processes suitable for automation. Presents the benefits and lifecycle of RPA projects to educate department heads. Analyzes processes in the pipeline at a high-level to identify automation opportunities. Tracks pipelines against internal goals to ensure the company is on track for the fiscal year. Drives process analyses workshops with business subject matter experts (SMEs). Creates Process Definition Documents (PDDs) to transfer the process knowledge to RPA Developers. Gathers information required for the PDD by conducting process walkthrough sessions with business SMEs. Works with the Technology team, Developers, and the RPA Center of Excellence to manage project implementation. Performs project management activities according to defined service level commitments and process compliance guidelines by taking daily status updates from the Development team. Identifies risks to the project timeline, collates all required documentation for each process automation, and creates reports to showcase the progress of the process automations for presentation to leadership. Monitors changes and enhancements and initiates the change management process by evaluating the impact of proposed changes.


Education & Experience Requirements:

Master's degree in Business Analytics, Information Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 3 years of experience working on robotics process automation (RPA) or digital transformation engagements

Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 5 years of experience working on robotics process automation (RPA) or digital transformation engagements


Required Skills:

  Experience must include 1 year in each of the following skills:

  1. Developing Process Design Documents (PDDs) and successfully deploying bots using BluePrism;
  2. Collaborating with subject matter experts to gather business requirements and build "as-is" and "to-be" process flows;
  3. Facilitating end-to-end implementation from opportunity identification to production deployment and bot monitoring; 
  4. Assessing and identifying relevant data capture solutions, downstream automation opportunities, and overall implementation plans; and,
  5. Working as part of a project team of offsite consultants while playing an active role with internal customer engagements.
