  • Assist in the onboarding and integration of the newly acquired CGI legal entities in compliance with New York Life’s statutory reporting processes and standards
  • Responsible for the preparation and review of the quarterly/annual statutory NAIC and state financial reporting for the CGI legal entities
  • Preparation of various aspects of the Company’s annual statutory audited financial statements
  • Responsible for the oversight of the team’s Wdesk environment, including supporting enhancements
  • Completion of quarterly controller’s book schedules, including analysis and commentary
  • Responsible for the oversight of the team’s Wings environment
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with internal controls and MAR/SOX requirements
  • Perform basic statutory accounting research and analysis, as necessary
  • Collaborate, partner and build working relationships with our co-sourcing partner and business contacts.
  • Assist with special projects



  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance preferred; Master’s Degree desirable but not required
  • At least 4 - 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SSAPs) and statutory financial statements
  • Should have a general understanding of life insurance and accident and health businesses
  • Strong understanding of financial controls
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Wings and Wdesk is a plus
  • Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills


Work Location: Hybrid:  In office Tues, Wed, Thurs and remote on Mon & Fri.
