The IT Audit & Compliance team is responsible for coordinating various audit and regulatory reviews that impact the Technology and Security groups within New York Life.

 

The IT Audit & Compliance Senior Associate role is responsible for partnering with Technology to evidence IT General Controls used for MAR-SOX and PwC testing. This individual will perform the quality assurance function on the evidence and will be responsible for tracking the evidence request status. The person will also be responsible for supporting the tracking, recording, and remediation status of identified issues from MAR-SOX and PwC testing, and will assist with state examination and compliance requests.

 

This position will play a role in all phases of IT Audit and Compliance including planning, scoping, evidence gathering and assessment, and reporting.

 

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the requesting, tracking, and Quality Assurance of IT Audit evidence requests.
• Leverage company applications, system, and process expertise to simplify and streamline IT Audit and Compliance requests.
• Work with Technology stakeholders to refine control testing by reviewing and streamlining existing processes.
• Assist in the review, logging, tracking and testing of issues and their remediations.
• Provide time critical ad-hoc requests.

 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years IT auditing or IT Risk experience in financial or insurance environments.
• Good technical knowledge and experience in Model Audit Rule (MAR) or Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) testing and IT General Controls.
• A broad technical understanding of IT operating systems and applications.
• Experience with network, infrastructure, database, or systems and application security.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Project Management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel (vlookup, formulas, pivot tables, and macros) and PowerPoint; with Tableau (or other data visualization tools) and Microsoft Access a plus.
• Familiarity with Corporate systems (ServiceNow, Insight, SailPoint, Ping, SiteMinder, CyberArk) a plus.

• Ability to function independently with limited direction.

  •  Ability to understand and handle complex and diversified work.

 

The salary range for this position is between $72,500 - $107,500. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits.
