Reporting to the Director, Web Content Strategy, this role will help translate business priorities, stakeholder requests, audience needs, and search insights into clear, accurate, compliant, and user-focused web content. The Sr. Associate will manage website updates for their specified areas from intake through publication, support content governance, and accessibility standards, and use SEO, analytics, and performance insights to improve content quality, discoverability, and engagement. The role will also help shape content experiences through content planning, editorial review, content design, and optimization, ensuring website content is useful, discoverable, and aligned to both business and user goals.

This role sits within the Web Strategy & Operations team, which manages end-to-end website operations from strategy and design to development and content management. The ideal candidate brings sound editorial judgment, strong web writing and content design skills, project management skills, working knowledge of SEO and emerging search behaviors, and the ability to coordinate content through cross-functional review and approval processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the day-to-day execution and optimization of assigned website content, ensuring the right stakeholders are engaged and that content aligns to business priorities, audience needs, brand standards, regulatory review processes, and website experience goals.
  • Coordinate website content updates and enhancements from intake through publication, including requirements, timelines, reviews, approvals, CMS handoff, and QA publishing readiness.
  • Translate stakeholder requests into clear content briefs, page requirements, content structures, copy recommendations, metadata, and implementation guidance for CMS authors, UX partners, and web team members, applying content design principles to improve clarity, usability, and engagement.
  • Review, edit, write, and optimize website copy in partnership with subject matter experts and content owners to improve clarity, usability, content hierarchy, calls to action, accessibility, compliance readiness, and overall user experience.
  • Apply content design best practices to shape page structure, messaging hierarchy, navigation pathways, and calls to action that help users find information and complete key tasks.
  • Maintain NYLIM brand voice, messaging standards, editorial guidelines, and content governance expectations across assigned website pages and related digital experiences.
  • Support SEO and content discoverability by applying keyword research, metadata, internal linking, page structure, and content best practices.
  • Conduct content audits, page reviews, and gap analyses to identify outdated, unclear, inconsistent, underperforming, or misaligned content, partnering with SMEs and content owners to confirm accuracy, competitiveness, required updates, and next steps.
  • Monitor content performance using analytics and SEO tools, identifying opportunities for content refreshes, performance improvements, testing, and ongoing optimization.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, SEO vendors, CMS authors, Compliance, UX, Technology, Analytics, and Marketing teams to execute web content initiatives efficiently and accurately.
  • Stay informed on emerging search trends, including AI-powered search experiences, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and content visibility within Large Language Models (LLMs), translating relevant best practices into practical content improvements.
  • Help maintain content ownership records, review cycles, publishing documentation, governance materials, and content inventories so subject matter experts and business owners can keep assigned website content accurate, current, and aligned to business needs.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in web content management, digital content operations, or content strategy, ideally in financial services, B2B marketing, or another regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager or a similar enterprise CMS.
  • Strong attention to detail and practical editorial judgment, with strong web writing capabilities, and the ability to prepare, edit, write, and optimize stakeholder-provided content for web publication in alignment with brand, usability, accessibility, and governance standards.
  • Experience managing web content workflows, including stakeholder inputs, SME reviews, approvals, publishing timelines, and competing priorities.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, content discoverability, web analytics, and performance optimization.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards, content governance, brand guidelines, and compliance-sensitive digital workflows.
  • Practical awareness of emerging search trends, including AI-powered search experiences, GEO, and content discoverability within LLMs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clarify requirements, manage reviews, and escalate risks or gaps appropriately.
  • Ability to partner across marketing, UX, technology, analytics, compliance, external vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Target, personalization, A/B testing, global websites, multilingual content, or international product portfolios preferred.
