The User Acceptance Testing Analyst will work directly with the team lead to establish processes and discipline around User Acceptance Testing (UAT). This individual will embed themselves in the agile process working side by side with Product Management, UX/UI Design and User Research/Testing & Technology, understanding what is being built, what criteria define success across user and business needs, and how to test against these criteria.  Analysts will be responsible for planning, strategy as well as creating and managing the execution of test plans & scripts, reporting findings and working with product owners & technology to remediate identified defects prior to release.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the end-users needs, challenges and opportunities in certifying that their systems meet the defined functional requirements while providing a user experience that makes doing their jobs easier.
  • Actively participate in establishing a formal process for UAT by identifying the appropriate plan/strategy, developing test plans & scripts, identifying test populations, defining acceptance criteria, identifying defects, and obtaining sign off
  • Bring UAT process into digital programs across ‘run the shop’ work as well as standalone small and large-scale initiatives
  • Organize appropriate test coverage/populations and scenarios
  • Report testing findings and any issues that may impact production readiness or fail to meet agreed upon acceptance criteria
  • Work with the business and technology to evaluate findings that are obstacles to releasing a working product with zero defects
  • Ensure proper 'evidence of testing' is recorded and archived for future reference/audit.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance and Testing experience required
  • Software testing certification (CMSQ, CSTE, CAST or similar) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in or strong familiarity with Agile practice and methods
  • Proven success influencing and working effectively across broad and complex organizations
  • Experience using digital tools such as JIRA, PractiTest & the Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Experience working in Digital Transformation and Modernization efforts at an insurance (or Financial Services) organization preferred
  • Proven ability to prioritize deliverables and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated customer-centricity with a strong bias toward action
  • Experience interfacing with vendors and cross functional teams
