Senior Associate -Mobile Developer

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per month 

 

Role Overview:

The Corporate Systems Development division of the New York Life Insurance Company is seeking an experienced senior level Flutter Developer/Architect to be responsible for detailed technical designs, hands-on development, successful implementation and on-going support of high-quality scalable enterprise mobile business applications using proven methodologies and technologies while at the same time keeping current with the latest advancements and trends in the Mobile Enterprise platform

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify the right technical components/frameworks for the business requirements.
  • Enable security(authentication/authorization) for Mobile App accessing enterprise API.
  • Design and development of Flutter mobile apps/web.
  • Build projects as per the business requirements.
  • Create compelling device specific user experiences for phones and tablets.
  • Communicate effectively with teams and management.
  • Understanding requirements and coordinating with offshore teams.
  • Be up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologies, especially Flutter.
  • Ability to integrate backend systems with Restful/SOAP services.
  • Work in agile development methodologies and delivering work assignment on time following 2 weeks sprint cadence.

 

What You’ll Bring:

Technical Expertise

  • Overall 10+ years of experience in software and mobile apps development.
  • 2 years hands on experience building the apps using Dart language and Flutter framework.
  • Experience in any other mobile programming language (Swift, Kotlin, React Native).
  • Designing end to end solution technical architectural of Flutter Apps.
  • Must have an extensive work experience in Dart asynchronous programming (using Futures and Streams).
  • Creating and using Dart and Flutter packages and plug-ins, Flutter widgets, State management (Provider, BLoC etc.)
  • Experience in using method channels to invoke native APIs.
  • Knowledge on implementing of localization & accessibility.
  • Usage of tools and techniques related to code analyzers, layout inspector, performance view, memory view, multithreading, networking & Security etc.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Maven, and version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience in consuming web services using JSON/ XML.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app design patterns like – MVVM, MVC, Delegation, Singleton, Factory, Adapter etc.

Communication Skills

  • Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manages customer expectations and ensures prompt and complete customer service.
  • Can identify problems and risks and raises them to the appropriate level.
  •  Flutter Certified Application Developer is highly desirable.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:  $95,000-$162,500 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
