Job Title: 2025 AI & Data Summer Internship Program – Operations Team
The AI & Data Operations sub-team is highly collaborative, focusing on optimizing processes, ensuring smooth operational workflows, and driving effective team communication. The team plays a critical role in maintaining alignment across AI & Data functions, facilitating resource management, and coordinating cross-team initiatives to ensure efficiency and strategic impact.
Interns will join one of three key areas within the Operations team:
- Engagement & Communications: Focus on fostering engagement within the AI & Data team and across the broader New York Life community. Responsibilities include creating promotions and communications content for our websites and email notices, as well as planning team meetings, socials, and educational events.
- Project Management: Assist with creating project plans, tracking deliverables, facilitating meetings, and maintaining project documentation. You’ll contribute to rolling out the Agile Delivery model across the team and enhance project tracking efficiency through Jira application administration.
- Business Operations: Contribute to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities include analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and managing end-to-end projects such as competitor analyses, market assessments, or process improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring:
- Engagement & Communications: Passion for creative storytelling, fostering collaboration, and crafting branded content for diverse platforms.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills, familiarity with project management tools, and an interest in Agile methodologies.
- Business Operations: Analytical mindset, enjoy working with cross-functional teams, and a passion for delivering actionable solutions.
Required Skills:
- Engagement & Communications: Rising senior (or recent graduate) pursuing a degree in Communications, English, Event Planning, Human Resources, or related humanities fields. Strong communication, writing, and creative thinking skills, with proficiency in time management.
- Project Management: Rising senior pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira or similar), and strong organizational and communication skills.
- Business Operations: Rising senior pursuing a degree in Operations Research, Engineering with a business focus, or Business Analytics with a technical emphasis. Experience in process improvement, structured problem-solving, and strong communication skills.
