Role Overview:
Technology Summer Interns join us for 11 weeks. You will have an opportunity to explore potential career paths while working on real-life projects across our technology organization and gain the valuable experience essential for you to take the next step in starting your career. Our world is full of opportunities to collaborate, imagine, invent, and evolve transformative technology.
You’ll also expand your skills through hands-on training and development opportunities – all designed to prepare you for a successful career after graduation.

Beside working with your team, you will also interact with the other Technology Interns while working on a real project. You will engage in the company’s Volunteer for Good activities to give back to the community in which we live.
What You’ll Do:
Technology Engineering interns can enter one of three pathways: Developer, Infrastructure or Modern Workplace Engineer.
Role: Developer Engineer
Description:
- Design, develop, test and maintain high-quality software to meet business needs using a range of front-end and back-end technologies and stacks
- Design, develop, and operationalize cloud-native applications using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies and frameworks
- Work within the Value Stream to design and build applications in a hybrid environment encompassing on-prem solutions and cloud hosted applications and platforms
- Responsible for the development, configuration, enhancement and support of applications using modern programming languages to be deployed on cloud providers like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
- Support the design and deployment of secure, well-tested, scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems
- Support the evaluation of key attributes of existing application architectures, evolution and enhancements to the infrastructure, product ideation and technology stack selection
- Write clean, well-tested & secure code; exhibit ownership from requirements to development
- Understand existing architecture on the back end as well as the front-end side to be able to enhance and improve architecture going forward with a key focus on scalability and quality
- Understand requirements around user experience to be able to deliver high quality, cross-platform optimized and responsive web front-end experience
- Work with designers, engineers, product management and business stakeholders
- Learn new technologies as needed and apply them to business solutions. Stay abreast of new/upcoming technologies in the market
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements
- Participate in scope of work estimation and forecasting
- Adhere to architecture, design, implementation, and security standards and best practices
- Participate in code reviews or use collaborative programming techniques to promote high quality business outcomes
- Proactive ownership, troubleshooting & resolution of issues as they arise
- Challenge the status quo and propose newer and better ways of doing things
Role: Infrastructure Engineer
Description:
- Assist in the development, building, and support of moderately complex systems, applications, and solutions that integrate across the enterprise and may have system-wide impact
- Apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to assignments where problems and solutions may be unclear, but there are known factors and some predictability
- Work on multiple cross-functional initiatives, systems, applications, teams, and products
- Contribute individually, seeking guidance from supervisor/manager as needed
- Help develop and evaluate technical requirements relevant to the respective domain and applicable systems
- Assist in designing and developing system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
- Identify requirements gaps or issues
- Help determine the impact of requirements on existing architecture, processes, and systems
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing migrations between systems in physical design and requirements
Role: Modern Workplace Engineer
Description:
- Assist in setting up and configuring end-user focused tools, including endpoint management, monitoring, software delivery, build automation, MDM, virtual, collaboration, and messaging platforms
- Contribute to defining a product vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Support the building, configuring, and maintaining of all EUC platforms, policies, services, and devices
- Monitor performance and assist in managing capacity across all EUC platforms, policies, services, and devices
- Provide guidance to business and support teams on the appropriate usage and support of EUC platforms, services, and devices
- Assist in providing material support to ASM and Application Owners to ensure platforms are designed with their needs in mind
- Apply principles, practices, and procedures to complete moderately complex assignments where problems and solutions have known factors and predictability
- Work on multiple cross-functional initiatives, systems, applications, teams, and products
- Assist in developing and evaluating technical requirements relevant to their domain and applicable systems

- Communicate and explain to non-technical staff how proposed solutions will support their requirements
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing migrations between systems in physical design and requirements
- Collaborate on technically or functionally aligned resources as required to deliver work.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of platform offerings, including functional, technical, and user enhancements
What You’ll Bring:
An innovative mindset and the ability to challenge the status quo while exhibiting excellent problem-solving, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Required Skills:
- You must be a rising senior or graduate student studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering or other related technical majors.
- Superior technical skills, including a strong understanding of Linux /Unix and Windows, competency in at least one programming language (e.g., C, C++, Java or C#)
- Experience in object-oriented development, good comprehension of data structures, algorithms and complexity theory, strong database and scripting skills.
Preferred Skills:
- You have a minimum GPA of 3.2.

Salary Range: $30-35/ hour
Overtime eligible: Nonexempt

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
