This hands-on role is highly skilled at listening and communicating openly, asking questions, embracing ideas and respecting diversity of thought; consulting with stakeholders to understand business problems and opportunities, target outcomes and success criteria translating into functional and non-functional requirements. Develops and grooms user stories as input into implementation sprints.  Works closely with the technical team to leverage out-of-the box features as well as our AEM component library to determine reusability of assets versus customizing to deliver the appropriate solution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the requirements gathering for Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets, Forms) based-solutions
  • Provide User Experience (UX) guidance for tenants of AEM in accordance with New York Life’s branding best practices
  • Work with a cross-functional team of UX/UI, SEO, content, and other key stakeholders to develop digital experiences and ongoing product enhancements
  • Interact with business, conduct analysis, and document business processes, workflows and requirements
  • Understand the capabilities provided by out-of-the-box components available in the AEM platform and built custom component library to determine when additional custom development and new components is required
  • Work collaboratively with business Product Owners, providing insights and recommendations on streamlining processes as well as outlining trade-offs of leveraging out-of-the-box components versus customizing

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 3+ experience in UX design and research
  • 3+ years experience executing projects using Agile Methodologies, working across multiple scrum teams
  • Proven experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) and developing requirements for company’s primary website
  • Results-oriented individual with a very strong work ethic and must be able to demonstrate excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act independently with sound business judgment and thrive in an environment with diverse communication styles
  • Ability to prepare and present oral and written documents clearly and concisely
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the work requirements demonstrated by an in-depth understanding and use of advanced principles, theories, and practices associated with Business Analysis
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across technology and business
  • Proven ability to demonstrate curiosity and confidence in questioning stakeholders to ensure the problem statement and outcomes are properly understood and defined


Preferred Skills:

  • 3+ years executing projects using Agile Methodologies and tooling such as Rally/Jira
  • 3+ years experience designing and implementing on the AEM platform
  • Understanding of AEM Experience Fragments and ability to manage AEM Digital Assets
  • AEM Certifications a plus
  • Previous experience within the Life Insurance or Wealth Management domain
