This role will be responsible for supporting the production process of scenario generation and asset projection process. The role would have frequent interaction with stakeholders from different areas to support actuarial, investment and risk management applications.  The position works closely with other team members within the SIMS team on model operation, asset modeling and asset data & research. 




  • Assist the manager in leading the timely production of all economic scenario sets for an assortment of financial applications throughout the company 

  • Able to program and automate  scenario generation process by developing greater understanding of the underlying uses and achieve higher levels of efficiency and control 

  • Develop a broad understanding of the global macro-economic environment and the associated stochastic models used to generate economic scenarios. 

  • Understand the scenario calibration process and able to explain effectively to a wide range of audiences.  

  • Support asset projection effort and strengthen linkage between scenario and asset modeling process.  

  • Expand the economic scenario coverage (e.g., adding new economic variables or more granular asset classes through R&D) to enable more robust financial modeling by the business. 




  • Strong quantitative skills, including an advanced degree in a technical field like Mathematics, Economics or Finance. 

  • Strong understanding of the inner workings of an Economic Scenario Generator is a strong plus. 

  • Working knowledge of Moody’s Analytics Economic Scenario Generator is preferred. 

  • Effective time management and project coordination skills to handle multi projects.  

  • Excellent programming skills in Python, R, SQL and VBA. Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming. Experience in Matlab and Visual Studio is a plus.  





  • Ability to work independently as well as a team leader. 

  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and changing priorities and requirements. 

  • Ability to create effective partnerships with diverse roles and positions throughout the organization.
