Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Support senior business development / investor relations ”BDIR” team with prospect & territory management for active fundraises
- Schedule and attend meetings & calls with senior BDIR team. Distribute call notes to stakeholders around the Firm
- Coordinate meeting follow up with IR & Investment teams
- Proactively monitor & update fundraising pipelines in CRM in conjunction with senior BDIR team
- Conduct market intelligence on prospective clients Private Equity portfolios as well as competitor analysis via Preqin and other industry databases
- Produce content to assist in BDIR teams fundraising efforts
- Strong product knowledge required, understanding of fundraise timelines, key competitors, market/product positioning and distinguishing factors
- Develop an understanding of Apogem’s investment strategies to support fundraising activity
- Support IR team in the RFP/RFI/Questionnaire process as needed
- Periodic attendance at tradeshows
- Assist with client onboarding /follow up as needed
Associate Role
The ideal candidate will support business development and investor relations’ professionals and assist in the fundraising efforts relating to the firm’s alternative investment capabilities. Additionally, the candidate will perform special projects for the business and investor relations’ teams as requested.
Candidate Profile
- Four-year college degree
- Two to three years’ experience preferably in a related field of financial services, investing, and/or marketing for a finance-related firm
- Extreme attention to detail
- Demonstrated success in the creation of high-quality PowerPoint marketing presentations
- Power user in Excel (ability to navigate complicated spreadsheets, write formulas, create detailed charts, etc.)
- Verbal, written communications skills and an ability to work with all levels of internal staff
- Strong organizational skills: must be able to multi-task and manage priorities
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative
- Ability to work in a team-oriented culture and maintain a high-level of communication
- Strong math skills and grasp of fundamental investment concepts
Salary range:
Overtime eligible: Exempt
