This role offers an exceptional opportunity for growth and learning within a dynamic Corporate Responsibility/Foundation team. This role provides essential administrative support needed to execute on our philanthropic mission which includes supporting Foundation grantmaking, facilitating engagement between the New York Life workforce, our partners and local communities, and outreach efforts aligned to our core value of humanity. The primary responsibilities of this role are the day-to-day management of the Grief-Sensitive Schools Initiative program as well as support for the Volunteers for Good and annual Giving Campaign programs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Management Support:

  • Conduct basic research and due diligence on potential and current grantees.
  • Compile progress reports and maintain communication with grantees.
  • Assist with Aim High and Grief Reach RFPs/programs.

Workforce Engagement Strategy:

  • Oversee day-to-day management of Grief-Sensitive Schools programs.
    • Develop and update templates and materials.
    • Conduct and update training sessions for ambassadors.
    • Participate in initiative meetings and nurture key partnerships.
    • Answer questions related to the program from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support Volunteer for Good Program and strategic engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating activation and signature events with partners.
  • Assist with annual giving campaign and other initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating special initiatives

Administrative Support:

  • Generate and manage reports related to engagement.
  • Conduct surveys and follow up on grant applications.
  • Provide backup support for the company store, particularly bereavement materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment blending corporate and nonprofit cultures.
  • Background or interest in corporate responsibility, philanthropy, or nonprofits.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new projects.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to be proactive and agile to meet work expectations.
  • Graphic design proficiency (Adobe, InDesign, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with Qualtrics or other survey platforms preferred.

 

 

Salary range: $58,500-$85,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
