Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week

When you join New York Life, you are joining a company that values career development, collaboration, innovation, and inclusiveness. You will have the opportunity to grow your career while developing personally and professionally through various resources and programs. New York Life is a relationship-based company and appreciates how both virtual and in-person interactions support our culture.

The Business Planning team is part of the Experience & Digital Marketing organization (E&DM).  It supports E&DM and enterprise partners through (1) management of E&DM’s integrated business plan, roadmap, and portfolio of work, (2) mobilization and delivery management of large-scale, cross-functional programs and projects that support E&DM’s strategic goals, (3) synthesis and packaging of complex work into clear plans and narratives, and (4) the empowerment of E&DM employees to organically grow, connect, and collaborate to achieve business outcomes.

What great looks like in this role

You are an energetic, curious, and organized professional who is excited about making an impact in a fast-paced Experience & Digital Marketing organization. You thrive on variety — one day you might be coordinating an employee engagement event, the next you’re exploring workplace AI efficiencies or helping prepare materials for a department-wide meeting. You bring a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn and grow.

You are someone who takes initiative and ownership of your work. When you’re given a task or a project, you follow through and you proactively communicate where things stand. You ask questions, you take notes, and when you get feedback, you absorb it and apply it the next time. You are building your voice and excited to proactively engage in meetings, even when more senior roles are present.

You genuinely enjoy working with people. You care about employee experience, culture, and helping others feel connected to the organization. You are detail-oriented and reliable — the person stakeholders count on to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. You are excited about growing your Business Planning career and see this role as a launchpad for that development.
