The Employee Relations Team's responsibility is to ensure fair and consistent treatment of all employees, through fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. The Associate, Employee Relations will focus on managing employee relations (ER) systems/metrics and providing support on all ER matters. 

 

Principal Responsibilities:

 

  • Respond to inquiries regarding employee-related policies and processes.  Revise and update policies and processes to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws (i.e. benchmarking, preparing communications plans, and updating the Employee Handbook).
  • Serve as point of contact for HRBPs, employees and managers on reasonable accommodations. Includes facilitating the interactive process, working with internal and external resources, and documenting the matter.
  • Assist the team in responding to and investigating employee complaints and  managing the corrective action process.
  • Assist with the coordination of the job elimination program (i.e. calculate severance payment for job eliminations, prepare packages and coordinate logistics for notification discussions).
  • Maintain our case management tool.  Includes ensuring cases are entered in a timely manner, preparing regular reports, understanding the capabilities of the tool, training the HRBPs on the system and managing the relationship with the vendor.
  • Lead the annual harassment prevention course process.  Includes reviewing and tailoring content, assigning the course based on state requirements and responsibilities, preparing communications and monitoring participation.
  • Serve as the records coordinator for Employee Relations.
  • Handle and assist with special projects.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Proficient knowledge of employment laws (e.g., ADAAA, FMLA) and policies and procedures
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Flexibility and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in gathering, organizing and presenting data in excel spreadsheets and powerpoint
  • High attention to detail  
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently and  exercise good judgement regarding sensitive matters

 

 

 

Salary range: $58,500-$85,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
