Associate, Internal Wholesaler - Retail Annuities

 

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week 

 

 

 

 

Business Unit Overview

Be part of a dynamic team within Retail Annuities, pioneering innovative solutions to help people build better retirements. Develop and market diverse annuity products that empower individuals and are distributed across multiple channels. Contributing to industry-leading sales across Guaranteed Income, Fixed Deferred, and Variable annuities, your efforts directly impact clients’ lives and fuel company growth. What You’ll Do:  

  • Manage territory with external partners to meet or exceed goals.
  • Partner with field wholesaler to develop and maintain business relationships with financial advisor professionals in the territory.
  • Conduct consultative, relationship-building sales calls via the telephone with financial advisors and other licensed professionals.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of all New York Life’s annuity products and competitive landscape.
  • Act as the main point of contact on a daily basis for financial advisor clients in the territory.
  • Consistently follow-up with all leads, prospects, and producers to advance the sales process and deepen advisor relationships.
  • Create and explain hypothetical illustrations and competitive information.
  • Provide advisors with updates on annuity products, upcoming conference calls and conferences.

 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business and/or equivalent experience.
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 and 63 licenses required.
  • State Insurance License(s) for resident state within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of annuities, the financial/capital markets, and the competitive landscape.
  • Wholesaling experience preferred.
  • Build and expand relationships with predetermined opportunistic list financial advisors.
  • Fluid relationships and communication with external partners for strategic planning.
  • Excellent presentation and organizational skills.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $64,000 base + monthly commission and bonuses 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: No 

Sales bonus eligible: Yes 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.

 

Please note: This role requires FINRA licensed and/or FINRA Associated Person pre-hire fingerprinting.
