Job Title: Associate, Sponsorship Activation Support
The Role:
New York Life is seeking a Sponsorship Activation Support Associate who will help implement immersive activations with our marketing partners that 1) reinforce New York Life Brand promise and value proposition, 2) reach a variety of audiences, 3) that displays our mission and values, and 4) highlight our employees, agents, and advisors.
This position reports to the Director of Sponsorship Activation Baseball and involves collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, athletes, teams, and leagues and their representatives to create brand building experiences and execute high-impact activations. The Sponsorship Activation Support Associate will demonstrate strong organization and creative skills along with initiative, resourcefulness, and ability to work proactively while collaborating in a team environment. Experience developing and activating major sponsorship programs is preferred but not required. Said person, will need to manage multiple projects concurrently and be able to proactively prioritize deadlines, work in a high paced environment, think critically.
Our Team:
The Sponsorship Support Associate is responsible for helping support integrated cross-channel, data-driven marketing campaigns. The Sponsorship Activation Support Associate will assist in hospitality, content campaigns and activations from national to local levels that create opportunities to showcase New York Life’s partnerships.
Practice Mission:
Increase the awareness, evaluation, consideration, and retention of New York Life sponsorship programs to find efficiencies, explore trends, implement best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Activation Support
- Support the Director in development and execution of baseball activations, bringing our brand to life in new innovative ways.
- Assist in creating experiences to showcase our cause platform of financial education and connect local communities with our agents.
- Work closely with our sports sponsorship agency and partners to plan, coordinate, and execute activations at sponsorship events, such as fan fest, block parties, post-event celebrations, community clinics, alumni appearances, etc.
- Create project plans, calendars, milestones, manage project kick-offs and ensure alignment across all teams and flawless delivery.
- Support Director in management of cross functional internal and external agency partners.
- Work with internal teams, including but not limited to brand, legal, compliance, technology, field activation, media, analytics, and corporate communications to align marketing efforts with broader organizational strategies.
- Coordinate assets, messaging, and brand integration across various channels.
Operations & Administrative Support
- Attend and participate in on-site activations ensuring the New York Life brand and team are well represented. Oversee event setup, ensuring all aspects align with our vision and specifications.
- Assist with account management tasks such as scheduling/organizing meetings and calls and other special projects that require acting as the liaison for activations and sponsorships operations.
- Manage all creative feedback and approvals within internal and external partners.
- Assist in management and maintenance of Sponsorship microsite, sponsorship blog, and sponsorship inbox.
- Ability to partner and understand analysis of data and generated reports to help identify trends, optimizations, and insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, sports management, or a related field.
- Applicant must have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience (including internships, capstones or co-ops. ) in sponsorships, and/or marketing, brand marketing, event marketing, sports marketing, or sports sponsorship activation .
- Strong understanding of the sports industry, including sports teams, organizations, leagues, and athletes.
- Experience in developing and activating sponsorship programs.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, partnerships, and initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience in navigating fast-paced, ambiguous environments with the ability to understand and prioritize competing business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with partners, athletes, and influencers.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized, detailed oriented, strategic, and creative thinker.
- Ability to problem solve, think conceptually to develop solutions.
- Must be willing and able to travel as needed including, multiple consecutive nights, weekends, and holidays (Estimated 15% of time may vary based on business needs)
- Must maintain a positive attitude, professionalism, integrity, motivation, and a strong work ethics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Confident presenting in front of large groups.
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $51,500 - $70,000
Overtime eligible: Nonexempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
