The Associate Auditor will assist with various phases of financial, operational, and compliance audits in the Company's Home Office, field offices, and subsidiaries in the U.S. and international locations.  This role will specialize primarily in audits of the Strategic Insurance Businesses.  These areas focus on group and individual life and disability insurance, institutional life and institutional annuity products.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning of the audit, including meeting notes and requests
  • Attend meetings with clients to gain an understanding of their business processes and related risks and controls
  • Document the risks and controls in flowcharts and narratives
  • Design audit tests to evaluate controls over key risks and/or financial statement balances
  • Document any observations and issues that arise from those audit tests, and follow-up with the client
  • Document all audit work in automated work papers

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other quantitative discipline.
  • At least 1-2 year’s internal/external auditing experience and/or relevant insurance or annuity experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Self-starter and analytical, ability to work independently
  • Strong collaborator and team player
  • Willing to travel (approximately 10% - 20% domestic and international travel in addition to occasional travel to offices in the tri-state area)

Salary range: $58,500-$85,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt
