The Business Administration team helps support many different functions within Retail Annuities.  These include Contract Development and Regulatory Filings, Business and Regulatory Policies, Applications and Forms, Project Management and Inforce Management. 

 

The Inforce Management team oversees many tasks, including prospectus management, interest rate updates, audits, market conduct exams, Agency commissions and managing the excessive transfer program.  As part of the team, the Business Administration Senior Analyst will contribute to and support the Retail Annuities business, including the commission review, product operations and regulatory compliance process. 

 

The Senior Analyst will work on the production and distribution of regulatory reports and monthly performance summaries.  In addition, the Senior Analyst will oversee all commission related tasks, including the daily review of reports and seasonal initiatives and ensure that interest rates are communicated and updated in the administrative systems and other applications. 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Work on the production and distribution of variable annuity prospectuses and supplements, annual reports and semi-annual reports; making sure we remain in compliance with industry regulations
  • Coordinate the quarterly 38a-1 report and other ongoing supporting documents for Corporate Compliance
  • Ensure weekly interest rates are communicated and updated in the administration systems and other applications as needed
  • Make certain commissions are coded and paid the correct rate on internal transfers.  Notify agents of any commission adjustments that are necessary
  • Serve as the contact for questions related to commissions and the Annuity Persistency Bonus program
  • Assist in the review of daily and weekly reports that support our business operations
  • Review, generate and distribute letters related to the Company’s Limits on Transfer program
  • Identify improvement opportunities for purposes of improving efficiencies in information management and testing processes
  • Participate in core project teams that include members from Retail Annuities, Agency, Service, Tax, Office of General Counsel (OGC) and other departments
  • Lead other Inforce Management tasks and other related efforts such as remediations and ad-hoc requests as needed

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5-6 years’ experience and familiarity with individual annuity products
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with an ability to effectively prioritize and work under pressure to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word/Excel)

Proficiency with ArcPro, CyberLife and rPay are considered
