Overview of Role:


NYL Investors LLC, an integrated asset management enterprise with over $250 billion in assets under management is currently seeking a Business Development Associate within Investment Services to join a team tasked with supporting data and facilitating report development requests, as well as development of reconciliations within Markit EDM tool. This role requires data management experience, knowledge of financial markets, proficiency in the use of technology tools to interrogate large volumes of data across multiple source systems and environments, as well as experience in reporting applications. This role requires knowledge of financial / trade data, responding to end user inquiries, participating in testing system enhancements and engaging in continuous business development, as well as reconciliation development. The individual in this position must also be able to communicate effectively with business, operations, and technology staff. 



Description of Responsibilities:


  • Provide business analyst support for strategic Investment Operations projects including the implementation of a new data warehouse and investment accounting system
  • Collaborate with technology and business partners to analyze and troubleshoot issues and improved straight through processing
  • Communicate issues with management, vendors, business areas, and technology staff
  • Develop and maintain project plans to support business led initiatives
  • Document test plan, perform user acceptance testing, and communicate results in timely and organized manner
  • Perform data, trade and cash reconciliations using various query tools
  • Analyze trade and security master data between trading, accounting and data warehouse systems using various query tools




  • BA/BS in Finance, Business Administration, or Management Information Systems
  • 2-4 years Investment Operations experience in an Insurance company or Investment Management firm
  • Detail oriented with strong follow through skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and client service skills
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equity and/or Derivatives required
  • Experience with accounting, trading and/or performance/attribution solutions
  • Technical/systems skills, not limited to, but preferred: Excel, Word, Aladdin, Crystal Reports, Tableau, or SQL




Salary range: $58,500-$77,500 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
