Overview of Role:
NYL Investors LLC, an integrated asset management enterprise with over $250 billion in assets under management is currently seeking a Business Development Senior Associate within Investment Services to join a team tasked with supporting data and facilitating report development requests, as well as development of reconciliations within Markit EDM tool. This role requires data management experience, knowledge of financial markets, proficiency in the use of technology tools to interrogate large volumes of data across multiple source systems and environments, as well as experience in reporting applications. This role requires knowledge of financial / trade data, responding to end user inquiries, participating in testing system enhancements and engaging in continuous business development, as well as reconciliation development. The individual in this position must also be able to communicate effectively with business, operations, and technology staff.
Description of Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify customized investment reports.
- Develop and maintain reconciliation application while adhering to best practices
- Provide business analyst support to Investment areas
- Maintain data harmonization within reporting, orchestrate any code translation requirements from the business
- Provide end-use training on report requests and usage.
- Maintain current knowledge of technology landscape and developments
- Work with Data Quality Management team to analyze root cause for data issues using query tools to trace data flow back to the source system and data owner.
- Communicate data issues to data owners in order to make changes in source systems whenever possible.
- Respond to inquiries from the organization.
- Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity
Qualifications:
- BS in Finance or Management Information Systems
- 4-6 years industry experience
- Detail oriented
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and client service skills
- Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equity and Derivative securities
- Experience with accounting, trading and performance / attribution solutions
- Strong system and technical skills; not limited to, but preferred: CORIC, Tableau, Eagle PACE, Markit EDM, SQL, Crystal Reports
Salary range: $105,000 – $120,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
