New York Life is seeking a highly-talented Strategy and Integration Head for Business Solutions. The Business Solutions team is responsible for serving the small business market. Through New York Life’s career agents, we provide employee benefits products, as well as strategies for business owners to protect their businesses.
The Strategy and Integration Head will oversee strategy development, execution, and transformation efforts for Business Solutions, which is a growth-oriented team with an ambitious mandate. Partnering closely with various functional areas including product, operations, sales enablement, data & analytics, and distribution partners, this role will manage the strategic initiatives portfolio, including definition and rollout of new initiatives. This role is responsible for strategy implementation and integration, which includes (but is not limited to) strategic initiatives reporting, future state operating model development and execution, and internal communications. The Strategy and Integration Head will ensure alignment across the team, promote adoption of change and new ways of working, and serve as a central driver of performance within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead New York Life’s Business Solutions Strategy and Integration function
- Develop and manage implementation of the business unit strategy and roadmap in partnership with business leads and functional leads
- Ensure alignment of technology roadmap with overall business unit strategy
- Manage strategic initiatives portfolio, including reporting and prioritization within the department and across value streams
- Drive alignment around business priorities; engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization to increase buy-in and adoption
- Design and oversee implementation of business transformation and change management projects/programs that allow the business to achieve its goals and objectives
- Create and deliver executive presentations and communication to report on key initiatives and business activity
- Oversee internal communications for the department
- Provide continuity and drive increased collaboration across functional areas; identify opportunities to eliminate silo’s and drive adoption of new ways of working (Agile methodology, technology enhancements, new business processes, etc.)
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred
- 8+ years of functional experience in management consulting, business transformation, organizational effectiveness, and/or related disciplines, including but not limited to:
- Strategy
- Change management
- Project/program management
- Business analysis
- Ability to create executive level presentations and communications
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive leadership alignment
- Strong focus on collaboration, people development, and leadership
- Ability to be flexible with projects and resources
- Strong and effective communication skills; ability to present to senior leaders, as well as peers in a clear manner, fostering dialogue and helping to drive decisions
- Ability to build relationships and reach across the organization to influence areas outside direct line of reporting

Salary range: $145,000-$215,000
