Job Duties: Performs data analysis and develops solutions to address business objectives and client needs by utilizing advanced statistical and learning methods.  Discusses with stakeholders how analytics can be implemented to maximize business benefits. Provides support, including strategic consulting, needs assessments, project scoping, and the preparation and presentation of analytical proposals. Creates project milestone plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Communicates with Technology and other data teams to manage data a wide variety of in-house and third-party data sources. Contributes to analytics, solutions design, and productizing decisions. Resolves technical issues to support key business initiatives. Ensures implemented solutions are “best-in-class" and compliant with regulatory and privacy requirements.  Tests new ideas, statistical analysis methods, software, and data sources for continual quantitative solutions improvement. Shares knowledge within the company's Analytics group.

 

Education & Experience Requirements:  Master's degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience developing predictive models and analytical solutions. Or in the alternative, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience developing predictive models and analytical solutions.

Special Skills Required:

 

One (1) year of experience is required in each of the following skills:

1)    Performing data analysis and developing solutions to address business objectives and client needs by leveraging advanced statistical and machine learning methods; 

2)    Developing solutions which mine complex behavioral data and transforming it into actionable information using statistical, financial, machine learning, or business intelligence;

3)    Developing “best-in-class” predictive models using statistical techniques, including K-Nearest Neighbor, Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Neural Networks, XGBoost, and Gradient Boosting Machines (GBMs);

4)    Programming applications using Python, SQL or R and leveraging Big Data capabilities, including Hive and Pyspark to process structured datasets; and,

5)     Testing new ideas, statistical analysis methods, software, and data sources for continual improvement of quantitative solutions.
