We are seeking a Platform Product Manager to lead the business-side ecosystem strategy and end-to-end delivery of New York Life’s Marketing Intelligence Platform—a foundational layer that combines data, technology, and marketing expertise to power next-generation experiences for consumers and agents.

This platform will be a critical enabler of New York Life’s Marketing Ecosystem. It sits at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology—fueling personalized journeys, agentic decisioning, and omni-channel activation through segmentation, recommendation engines, identity resolution, clean rooms, and privacy-aware orchestration. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a system strategic thinker who thrives being a member of cross-functional teams and shaping enterprise-scale outcomes.

What great looks like in this role:

  • Passionate, team-oriented strategic problem solver with people management experience

  • Demonstrate a hybrid of business, design, technical, and data acumen
  • Groom and manage the backlog, as well as drive and facilitate an efficient Agile Delivery process to deliver against a well-defined plan – ensure all partners (Business Leads, Product Managers, Product Designers, Product Owners, Data, and Technology) are represented and engaged
  • Identify problems, opportunities, and trade-off decisions, and articulate a perspective/recommendation to resolve

What You’ll Do

  • Marketing Platform Capabilities Strategy & Roadmap: Ability to understand business strategy to identify new and modern marketing platform capabilities that should be explored to advance our intelligence platform. Then, build strong recommendations with business input to shape what we prioritize and invest in over time.

  • Feature Planning & Management: Work with business and product teams to understand goals and proactively manage feature backlog and prioritization that drive data driven experiences.

  • Delivery Management: Lead end-to-end delivery processes. Partner with our technology and data teams to create detailed delivery plans, and execution. Responsible for identifying and raising delivery risks, mitigation options, and trade-off recommendations for alignment and decisioning with key stakeholders while balancing expectations and technical feasibility.

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Partner with the User Acceptance Testing team to ensure platform capabilities enabled meet required standards and expectations. Lead test case creation – ensuring test scripts prioritize important functionality and journeys. Prioritize defects and provide clear communication and resolution strategies to ensure timely and effective fixes. In some instances, execute test scripts and support reporting.

  • Platform Activation & Operationalization: Collaborate with Business Leads and Product Managers to determine appropriate migration and adoption plans for modern data segmentation and activation platforms that minimize risks to on-going activations. Provide input into training, communication plans, and documentation to aid smooth adoption and maximum impact.

  • Ecosystem Maturity: Based on a deep understanding of the business strategy and digital product roadmap, proactively assess the ecosystem's capabilities and external vendor landscape to recommend strategic improvement opportunities.

  • Platform/Tool Selection and Vendor Management: Partner with Business Leads, Product Designers, Product Managers, Data, and Technology to facilitate execution of prioritized RFPs, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of platform capabilities, cost-effectiveness, scalability, and vendor reliability. Collaborate with platform vendors to influence base product roadmaps to meet needs and goals.

  • People Management: Lead a team of product owners, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Provide coaching, guidance, and skill development opportunities to ensure the team meets strategic goals.
