This Corporate Vice President position is a Benefits vendor management and operational lead role.  The individual will be responsible for supporting the management of the Alight relationship, independently act as the main liaison between benefits and internal third-party risk groups and manage the flow of escalated cases.  They will need to partner with other team members to coordinate the flow of cases with the other day-to-day work in the team and with the other areas of benefits. In addition, they will recommend process and service improvements with a focus on resolution of escalated cases, enhanced service delivery, operational excellence and compliance. 


Key Responsibilities


Alight vendor management responsibilities including:

  • Lead customer service improvements and resolves issues
  • Identify manual processes and drives toward automation
  • Identify and trouble shoots potential issues and inconsistencies
  • Help monitor and drive the strategic agenda and quarterly meeting strategies
  • Initiate required projects and drive to completion; ensure all reporting and compliance matters (i.e.MAR/SOC ) are timely and accurate
  • Attend weekly vendor governance meeting
  • Manage remediation, audits and clean-ups to completion
  • Oversee and review calculation and legal requests for quality and accuracy


Main liaison between Benefits, NYL Third Party Risk Groups (ORM, TPRM, ICIO) and Technology

  • Coordinate assessment reviews and audits
  • Monitor and submit the monthly vendor Third Party Performance Survey for Alight
  • Ensure compliance with any new requirements
  • Coordinate any technology changes at Alight to ensure compliance with NYL security and TPRM and Tech protocols


Ensure the following Health and Welfare efforts are completed timely and accurately, and recommends improvements as necessary:

  • Escalated HW cases
  • Imputed Income for Student Loan and Tuition reimbursement and day care files calculations
  • Manual Charitable Beneficiary process (monthly)
  • COLI payments to carrier
  • Estate Enhancements Annual Letters and imputed income
  • Executive Officer Life Insurance (EX Prem) process
  • Annual Enrollment testing and support as necessary


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of Retirement and Health and Welfare benefits
  • Strong project management, analytical and leadership skills
  • Excellent communications and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
