We are seeking a Compensation analyst to join our strategic HR team in our New York office.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

Assignments will provide learning opportunities regarding the Company, the insurance and asset management industries, and the fundamental theories and principles in compensation.  Typical projects may include:

  • Participating in ad-hoc reporting and analysis and special projects for both the executive and non-executive compensation areas
  • Playing a lead role in survey competitive analysis, job evaluation and development of compensation offers for both the executive and non-executive compensation areas
  • Contributing to the year-end compensation planning process and management of executive compensation data in the Company’s HRIS
  • Supporting the compensation design, communication and implementation processes
  • Supporting the sales incentive design, governance, and administration processes
  • Ad hoc support of Compensation and compensation-related HR Business Partner activities
  • Assisting in the production of materials for meetings of the management committee and compensation committee
  • Other activities as required

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be a self-starter, detail-focused, results-oriented, team player, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to summarize and explain information to others.
  • Highest level of integrity, ethical standards, and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Work experience in a corporate environment and 1-2 years of HR/compensation experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Salary range: $58,500-$77,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
