The Senior Associate Contingent Workforce Professional is responsible for the operational excellence of the contingent workforce operations at New York Life.  They will drive strong, collaborative, and cross functional relationships with stakeholders and guide the Managed Service Provider (MSP) relationship to ensure excellent customer service, compliance and effectiveness. 


What you’ll do:

  • Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the contingent labor program
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, liaison and escalation for temporary labor inquiries
  • Supervise, mitigate supplier risks, and drive supplier compliance
  • Ensure contingent labor supplier performance optimization and adherence to operational policies, procedures and compliance guidelines
  • Understand business needs and build the program to support various contingent worker engagements
  • Configure all engagements through MSP to ensure consistency in onboarding and worker management
  • Effective time manager of program meetings; keeps the pace on track; has meeting agendas
  • Summarizes meetings with concise written notes that capture key discussion points,
  • Communicates with Program Management, notifying them of potential issues and working across teams to resolve them before they become program-threatening
  • Manage supplier performance relating to responsiveness and operational activities via established SLAs and KPIs
  • Identify and develop supplier value
  • Secure data quality performance and perform specialized reporting

  • Strong knowledge of global contingent workforce best practices
  • Skilled in the usual Microsoft tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • User knowledge of a VMS (vendor management system) such as Fieldglass is strongly desired
  • Experience in SAP, Sailpoint, and Ariba
  • Procurement Sourcing Practice, Process & Strategy Knowledge


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years in a professional business role.




Salary range: $72,500-$107,500 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
