New York Life is hiring a Corporate Vice President, Financial Wellness Market Readiness, to lead deployment to group clients, and to develop a consistent best practices-driven go-to-market approach, including policies and procedures, to help drive adoption and engagement.

 

The ideal candidate will have a firm understanding of the group insurance, retirement and/or financial wellness space. He/She/They will have a successful track record for building and refining complex deployments, cultivating and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, and translating complex market dynamics so as to avoid the potential disintermediation of incumbent providers.

 

Role Description:

 

Strategic execution:

  • Develop a consistent, best practices-driven approach for bringing NYL’s financial wellness offers to market (group and retail settings; in-person and digital offers)
  • Ensure consistency and coordination across key internal (e.g., Communications, Product, Learning & Development, Agency, etc.) and external stakeholders
  • Co-develop success metrics, KPIs and reporting
  • Build and maintain a launch calendar and deployment timeline; document go-to-market policies and procedures, including SLA
  • Partner to build and deploy NYL’s point of view on cross-affiliate marketing (CAM)

 

Organizational and Operating Discipline:

  • Have strong attention to detail; possess the ability to zoom into detailed execution roadmaps and out to implications for market readiness
  • Balance a “test and learn” mindset with conventional industry deployment best practices/lessons learned
  • Uncover and unpack deployment opportunities; develop pragmatic solutions to key strategic and operational issues

 

Leadership support:

  • Bridge between key deployment stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Learning & Development, Communications and Agency) to optimize market readiness and help drive engagement with NYL’s financial wellness capability
  • Leverage lessons learned and industry best practices to accelerate uptake
  • Maintain line of site on adoption and usage; partner to incorporate learnings to improve market receptivity, engagement and conversion (sales, advice)

 

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

  • 7+ years of experience in the group benefits, retirement plan and/or financial services space (financial wellness experience a strong plus)
  • 5+ years of experience leading complex deployment and new client implementation (policies and procedures, success metrics, reporting, legal/risk/compliance considerations)
  • Prior experience developing cross-affiliate marketing strategy in the group benefits space
  • Agile, self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines while navigating the ambiguity of a dynamic work environment
  • Collaborative work style and leadership presence with the ability to effectively interact with and earn the trust of colleagues and senior management across the organization
