The Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) team for Institutional Life (“IL”)  is responsible for the coordination of management reporting of financial results, the multi-year financial planning process and expense and budget management, as well as financial support for the strategic and tactical needs for the business.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and support the reporting of quarterly financial results and the multi-year financial plan data, including developing waterfall and relevant metrics to identify emerging trends.
  • Oversee and support the development and analysis of IL departmental budget and expense allocations to provide insights and transparency in expense management
  • Support all management reporting activities at IL level, work closely with SIB and Corporate FP&A partners to ensure timely and accurate collection and delivery of financial results
  • Perform financial analysis on all key financial metrics (source of earnings, VNB, IRR, capital, etc)
  • Work with team members to provide support for strategic discussions on IL through financial and management information analyses, and reports.
  • Manage ad-hoc financial data and analysis requests from business partners in a timely manner; facilitate ongoing integration of IL data ecosystem and corporate finance data flow

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred 
  • Experience with financial management and understanding of insurance product profitability; familiarity with company expenses and cost allocations a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to apply financial concepts in various problems
  • Ability to adapt to fast changing priorities and innovative solutioning, with a high degree of urgency under tight deadlines
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage multiple complex projects independently
  • Ability to build relationships and drive collaboration with multiple teams across the organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Experience with SAP system, Tableau, Spotfire, or other Business Intelligence system preferred

 

 

 

Salary range: $115,000-$175,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
