Corporate Vice President, Life Insurance Product Solutions

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Vice President to join our Life Insurance Product Solutions team. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, enhancing in-force customer experiences, and leading strategic initiatives that shape New York Life’s life insurance portfolio.

What You’ll Do:
• Analyze the in-force product block to identify and recommend enhancements that improve the customer, field, and service experience across core insurance offerings.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) supporting business units such as Correspondence, Digital Services, and cross-functional process initiatives.
• Lead and manage annual prospectus updates to ensure SEC compliance for our Variable Universal Life (VUL) products, including updates to Separate Account Financial Statements, Plan of Operations, and Statements of Additional Information.
• Oversee fund updates (additions, name/advisor changes, and closures) within the VUL investment division platform and produce a monthly funds report.
• Provide updates and documentation in support of the Annual Illustration Certification and New York Market Conduct exercises.
• Coordinate and support remediation activities related to VUL products, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Enhance our administrative and illustration systems with various initiatives to better suit our agents and policyholders.
• Facilitate Service training on the VUL product portfolio as needed.
• Serve as a point of escalation and operational resource, troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day inquiries from field representatives and service teams.

What You’ll Bring:
You possess a strong understanding of New York Life’s life insurance portfolio, including key concepts such as MEC and life insurance distributions. You’ll partner closely with the Correspondence and Change Management teams to implement and test communications that enhance both agent and policyholder engagement. You’ll also serve as a key liaison between Product, Technology, Service, OGC, Finance, Actuarial and Agency teams—driving shared accountability and seamless delivery.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in life insurance product solutions, operations, or compliance.
• Proven ability to lead enterprise initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Preferred Skills
• FINRA Series 6 or 7 license preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience in root cause analysis and systems remediation.
• Comfort operating in Agile/Program Increment (PI) environments with a focus on iteration, learning, and continuous improvement.
• High attention to detail, particularly regarding prospectus filing and regulatory deadlines.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $110,000 - $165,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
