About the Role
As our Technology Sourcing Lead, you’ll be a strategic advisor and execution leader, developing and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with our evolving tech stack and digital priorities.

You'll be the point of contact for complex, high-value sourcing deals across Software, Hardware, Infrastructure, Cloud and Telecom.

You’ll partner closely with senior technology executives, legal, risk, architecture, and information security to drive sourcing decisions that balance cost, risk, innovation, and speed.


What You’ll Do:

Architect Strategy: Translate NYL’s tech and business strategies into sourcing roadmaps that deliver value, innovation, and resilience.
Lead the Deal: Own end-to-end execution of strategic sourcing events — RFPs, negotiations, contracting — across multi-million-dollar deals.
Champion Savings + Value: Create measurable cost efficiencies while elevating vendor performance, innovation, and compliance.
Drive Change: Influence stakeholders at all levels to adopt sourcing best practices that align with our transformation.
Build Relationships: Act as a trusted partner to C-level executives, functional leaders, and external suppliers.
Mentor & Elevate: Coach junior team members and help elevate the sourcing function with business acumen, negotiation finesse, and risk-smart decision-making.
Institutionalize Intelligence: Build market and supplier intelligence to inform sourcing strategies and identify new opportunities.


What You Bring:

  • 15+ years in Technology Sourcing/Procurement, with deep knowledge of:
    - Software procurement (SaaS, cloud, enterprise licenses)
    - Infrastructure (mainframe, distributed computing, networks)
    - Telecom and cloud operations
    - Proven contracting expertise, including commercial terms, SLAs, and risk.
    - Experience partnering with executive stakeholders in technology, risk, security, insurance, legal, and architecture.
    - Executive presence and the ability to balance internal priorities with enterprise-wide best interests.
    - Strong project management skills and business acumen.
    - Bachelor’s degree required, procurement certifications a plus.
    - Experience in financial services or insurance is a strong advantage.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $137,500-$237,500 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
