Corporate Vice President - Business Management, Tech Data AI Ventures

 

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week 

 

 

Tech Data AI Ventures (TDAV) is comprised of several interconnected functions that support the enterprise in enabling key capabilities. This role works on the TDAV Chief of Staff team to help drive several business operations and strategic integration of goals and initiatives. Strong emotional intelligence and attention to detail are required. This position interacts with senior leaders directly and juggles many responsibilities at once. Candidates need to be agile and able to pivot quickly. An analytical mindset and the ability to synthesize information/data into a clear story are essential. 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Program & Strategic Initiative Leadership | Driving cross-functional program management for high-priority enterprise and departmental initiatives, aligning efforts with strategic goals through data-driven decisions and stakeholder engagement. 
  • AI Enablement Execution | Leading execution and adoption of AI solutions under the Ignite AI NYL framework, ensuring strategic alignment, and integration. 
  • Compliance & Risk Management | Overseeing Business Continuity, Records Management, and Issue Management Team (IMT) coordination. Ensuring annual certifications, regulatory updates, incident readiness, and resilience planning. Partners closely with partners across the Risk Management team. 
  • Executive Advisory & Decision Support | Advising leadership on key deliverables and platform rollouts (e.g., IAM), synthesizing technical and business insights for risk-aware decision-making. 
  • Financial Oversight | Support of departmental budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reconciliation in partnership with Finance. 
  • External Partnerships & Research Strategy | Cultivating strategic partnerships (e.g., Gartner, LIMRA, LOMA). Driving ROI, contract alignment, and best practice utilization across the NYL enterprise (beyond the TDAV team). 
  • Industry Engagement & Representation | Partnering with external comms and across teams to derive actionable market intelligence elevating NYL’s presence in industry forums and leadership events. 
  • Space Management & Strategy | Leading departmental Home Office space strategy in collaboration with Facilities, HR, and TDAV to optimize space utilization and employee experience. 
  • Intranet Governance | Owning vision and strategy for TDAV intranet platforms, both internally to our team, as well as the services we provide across NYL, ensuring usability, content relevance, and alignment with corporate standards. 
  • Talent Development | Develop and drive an onboarding experience for new hires. 
  • Employee Engagement & Culture | Leading signature engagement initiatives (e.g., Giving Campaign, Month of Service), enhancing community presence, and driving internal recognition through the Applause Program. 
  • Internal Communications | Developing and managing internal content (newsletters, spotlights, intranet features) to reinforce culture, values, and strategic focus. 
  • Event Planning & Execution | Coordinating large-scale events (Town Halls, offsites, celebrations) in partnership with Communications and Events teams.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills - PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive 
  • Experience with AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) is a plus 

  

  

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $117,500-$200,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
