The Client & Distribution domain encompasses client reporting, institutional distribution workflows, RFP and DDQ responses, investment content, client intelligence, and related experiences. The opportunity is to move from fragmented, manually assembled processes that can take days or weeks toward continuously available, governed, personalized, and intelligence-enabled capabilities.
Role Overview
The Corporate Vice President, Client & Distribution Technology provides senior end-to-end technology leadership for Client Reporting & Distribution within New York Life's AI-led Portfolio Management transformation. The role is expected to reimagine how investment information is transformed into timely, accurate, tailored, and compliant client and distribution experiences. It requires strong judgment about authoritative content, personalization, provenance, approvals, entitlements, and how generative AI can accelerate content and response workflows without compromising accuracy or regulatory obligations.
The leader will operate across NYLIM, OCIO, Distribution, Client Service, Marketing where relevant, Technology, Data & Analytics, Architecture, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and strategic partners to build scalable enterprise capabilities rather than isolated automation solutions.
What You'll Do

· Reimagine manual and fragmented reporting and response workflows into continuously available, governed, reusable, and personalized capabilities.
· Enable investment teams and distribution professionals to access trusted portfolio, performance, strategy, and market information with appropriate context and controls.
· Create scalable capabilities that can support multiple products, client segments, and distribution channels without proliferating bespoke solutions.

· Ensure generated content is grounded in authoritative sources, traceable, reviewable, and subject to appropriate human approval.
· Determine where deterministic data and templates are required versus where generative capabilities add value.
· Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and AI governance functions to embed appropriate controls from inception.
Technology, Architecture & Data
· Partner with Solution Engineering & Architecture to define scalable experience, content, workflow, API, integration, and agent patterns.
· Partner with the cross-bet Data Architect on authoritative investment and client data, semantic consistency, lineage, provenance, entitlements, and access patterns.
· Integrate portfolio, performance, product, market, research, client, CRM, content, and other relevant enterprise sources as appropriate.
· Make build, buy, reuse, platform, and partner decisions that balance speed, enterprise reuse, compliance, portability, and long-term sustainability.
· Ensure solutions are secure, observable, resilient, auditable, and production ready.
Discovery, Delivery & Partner Leadership
· Partner with the Business Discovery & Solution Strategy Lead for Private Markets, Reporting & Distribution to define future-state client and distribution workflows and priorities.
· Use prototypes and user feedback to validate experiences, content workflows, AI behavior, controls, and architecture assumptions before scaling.
· Lead multidisciplinary outcome teams involving Product Owners, Forward Deployed Analysts, Forward Deployed Engineers, Obin AI engineers, distribution/client SMEs, Data SMEs, and Risk/Control partners.
· Drive workforce and capacity planning and manage strategic partners with clear accountability for quality, outcomes, and knowledge transfer.

Executive Partnership, Controls & Value
· Build trusted relationships with senior NYLIM, OCIO, Distribution, Client Service, and Technology leaders and translate business priorities into technology investments.
· Balance personalization and speed with accuracy, brand standards, client confidentiality, regulatory requirements, and enterprise controls.

· Establish transparent measures of adoption, turnaround time, quality, reuse, productivity, client experience, and business value.
Talent & Organizational Leadership
· Build, lead and develop high performing teams with strong domain knowledge and modern technology and engineering capabilities.
· Attract, develop and retain forward deployed and other high caliber technology talent, while building technology leadership and domain expertise across the organization.
