The Corporate Resilience Program Governance Lead is responsible for coordinating program-level deliverables for New York Life’s Corporate Resilience program, comprising Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, Incident & Crisis Management. This role, reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Resilience, will partner with internal domain leads as well as stakeholders from the three lines of defense to integrate, align, and deliver on key initiatives that strengthen the organization’s resilience capabilities and align with company objectives. 

The Program Governance Lead’s overall objective is to accelerate Corporate Resilience Program maturity and strategic impact by providing timely governance, coordination, integration of efforts, and execution.  S/he provides socialization and awareness of program requirements. This individual develops and maintains metrics, and manages QA/QC programs to improve visibility, reporting and oversight.  S/he will leverage experience and industry knowledge to implement best practices and ensure effectiveness and compliance across the Corporate Resilience program domains. 


  • Leads Governance activities including maintenance of strategic goals/objectives, roadmap and calendar to ensure timely updates and delivery of results; monitors, intervenes, and escalates significant deviations
  • Leads development, preparation, and socialization of metrics and reports packages that provide insight on state of resilience, readiness, and program impact
  • Coordinates materials for governance committees and tracks deliverables
  • Develops and coordinates regulatory, client, and internal and external responses and reports 
  • Updates catalog of resilience-related controls by domain and ensures integration with Corporate Resilience policy, standards, and other program documentation
  • Supervises quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) program and supporting procedures for CR domains
  • Lead for Corporate Resilience socialization, awareness, and education efforts
  • Coordinates Corporate Resilience knowledge management efforts to ensure effectiveness and consistency       



  • High degree of organization, personal initiative and individual accountability                        
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with limited direction under time pressure                         
  • Superior communication skills with demonstrated ability to partner, influence, and lead across multiple teams to drive results and collaboration                                                        
  • Five to eight (5-8) years of structured project management or comparable experience required; Project Management Professional (PMP) desirable                                                           
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in technology, business management, or equivalent field   
  • Prior experience in risk management and/or regulatory compliance; direct experience with technology, insurance or financial services is a plus       
  • Knowledge of key industry standards including, NIST, ISO, FFIEC, DRII, etc.; business continuity, disaster recovery, incident management, or risk management certifications desirable
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Excel, MS Word, etc.
